SITUATION

Our World

The time for war among mankind is over! We all share this world. We make choices every day that impact our lives and the lives of everyone around us. Have we lost our ability to have civil discourse, or do we have an unprecedented opportunity for social conversation and collaborative action?

Your World

Let your light shine! The world will always challenge you. Continue to make a positive difference in your corner of the world every day. Share your gifts with others when you can, and be open to learning how you can help even more. Learn more about the Divine Mercy message.

RECRUITING COMPASSIONATE PEOPLE

What is the definition of love? IHS has a clear point of view.

Listen Understand Act

LISTEN

We all know how to listen, but how often do we take the time to listen to someone who is reaching out to us with a need for our help? How often do we seek out people outside of our normal circle of friends, family, and co-workers to offer a compassionate ear?

UNDERSTAND

Complete understanding requires empathy. Without empathy how can you fully understand the depth and scope of the need someone is trying to express to you?  Take the time to probe, clarify, and explore the context of each need you hear.

ACT

Once you understand how you can help, take the time to act and make a meaningful difference in another person’s life. By listening, learning how you can help someone, and by taking action you are enriching your own life and the world around you.
